Frequently Asked Questions

When will my order be shipped?
     We will make every effort to ship your order within 1 to 2 business days of receiving it. You will be contacted as soon as possible to let you know if there is a reason we cannot immediately fulfill your order, and to let you know when it will be shipped.

Can I track my order?
    All orders (being shipped within the Continental United States) are shipped via USPS Priority Mail and may be tracked on the USPS site. Orders shipping outside the Continental United States will be priced individually, and you will be notified of the charges and delivery times prior to shipment. Please see our Shipping Policy below.

When will my order arrive?
    Most orders (within the Continental United States) are delivered within 2 to 5 business days. Please see our Shipping Policy below.

How do I return a purchase?
    Please see our Return Policy to determine which of your purchases may be returnable and for specific instructions on such returns.

Will you wind my yarn for me?
    We will be happy to wind up to three (3) skeins of yarn (@skein less than 450 yds) at no charge; there is a charge of $3.00 per ball for skeins in excess of 450 yds, or for more than the initial three free skeins. Please note that we use an electronic ball winder, which precludes our ability to wind any yarns containing silk, rayon, or other "slippery" yarns as they do not perform well on the winder.
Can I get a refund?
    We accept returns for Store Credit only; no refunds will be made. Please see our Return Policy for full details and information on making returns to our store.

What if the item I want is out of stock?
    You will be notified if the item you have requested is out of stock, and advised at that time the estimated wait time for the arrival of restock orders in our store, and, offered whatever options we have available to make substitutions, Special Orders, etc.

Will my yarn look just like the picture on your website?
    We try to show images as close as is possible to the product; having said that, please note that different computer monitors show colors slightly differently. In addition, many of our yarns are hand or kettle dyed by small independent dyers, resulting in varying colorations - sometimes even within the same dye lot. Please be sure to let us know if you have a project that requires several skeins - we will be happy to discuss making choices that will accomplish your goals.

    On our Home Page, lower right, there is a space to subscribe to the Newsletter; if you wish to unsubscribe, there is a link to do so at the bottom of the Newsletter page.


Payment Information
We currently accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and PayPal.

You will not be charged for your order until it is packaged for pickup by USPS, at which time your card will be charged and you will be notified of the shipment details.


Shipping Policy
All orders will be shipped (within the Continental United States) via USPS Priority Mail.

Orders mailed inside the Continental United States with a pretax total up to $75.00 will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail for a flat rate of $7.00; orders with a pretax total of $75.01 or more will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail FREE of charge to the customer.

We will be happy to make other shipping arrangements for any customer's specific request. International customers rates will be the actual cost via USPS International.


Sweet Rewards Program
All full price purchases (with the exception of books, magazines, patterns, and classes) earn 5% of the total pretax price; when the earnings total $300.00, a Sweet Rewards Store Credit in the amount of $15.00 will be awarded the customer. Subsequent purchases will continue to earn toward the next award (again at the level of $300.00). In essence, every full price purchase you make carries a discount equal to 5%. Our computer system will track your purchases, but does not alert us when the award level is reached - please be sure to ask that any Sweet Rewards you have earned be applied to your purchases before the passage of one year from award date, at which time it expires.
